American Business Media: A Korean Accent for Neon?

NEW YORK--Dec. 8, 2000--With Chrysler once again in money-losing mode, the Neon, says a source close to the company, could end up being being built by Hyundai.
With DaimlerChrysler desperate to cut costs, its Chrysler unit (which owns 10% of Hyundai) is open to any idea, says Richard Schaum, Chrysler product-development executive VP. And that includes sharing parts and vehicle platforms.
Schaum wouldn't comment on the Neon, but Chrysler may build next-generation Neons with Hyundai -- perhaps as soon as the 2005 model year.
