Mitchell International Launches Mitchell University -- the Online Learning Center

    SAN DIEGO--Dec. 8, 2000--

Online Training Available at www.mitchellu.com for UltraMate Customers, Other Products Will Be Added in 2001

Mitchell International today announced the launch of Mitchell University -- The Online Learning Center to provide anytime training for users of Mitchell's UltraMate, the first Windows-based estimating system for automotive collision repair shops.
Additional Mitchell products will be added to the University in 2001.
"Technology and the Internet combine for the delivery of learner-based education that really works," said Todd Mavis, Executive Vice President, Sales, Service, Product Management and Marketing. "Many of our customers told us they wanted training on their schedule and without having to leave work to get it. Mitchell University will allow our customers to get full value from their programs right from their shops -- whenever they want it."
The UltraMate Web-based training covers all features of the product. It is designed in short, manageable modules and includes appropriate testing to reinforce the learning process. Each person logging into Mitchell University has his/her own transcripts. Through a sophisticated tracking mechanism, Mitchell can produce reports for shop managers to check the progress of their employees. Those finishing the training with a valid score receive a Mitchell certificate of completion.
Mitchell customers can log onto the Mitchell University site at www.mitchellu.com to get immediate access to full UltraMate training. They can access the University whenever they want and repeat any module as often as they like.
"New Internet tools make it possible to design effective training that is much easier for the customer to use," said Mavis. "These interactive training modules are really exceptional education programs."
Within the coming year, many more online courses will be available so that Mitchell customers can enjoy the freedom of self-directed learning.
For customers seeking other learning opportunities, Mitchell will continue to offer real-time training by a company trainer via the telephone, and conduct training seminars throughout the United States and Canada in the coming year.
"Mitchell is committed to providing training and development plans which meet the specific needs of all of our customers," Mavis said.
