Knite Inc. Appoints David S. Boyer Chief Executive Officer

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J.--Dec. 7, 2000--Knite Inc. Founder and Chief Technology Officer Art P. Suckewer announced today the appointment of David S. Boyer to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Knite Inc.
Knite is a small high-technology company with a proprietary ignition system developed at Princeton University. Knite Inc. is focused on the development and commercialization of advanced ignition systems, which are capable of generating spark 100 times greater than conventional ignition systems for both 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
Mr. Boyer comes to Knite Inc. with extensive management, business development and acquisitions experience. For the last five years he served as President and CEO of Teleflex Incorporated, a diversified industrial company with annual sales of $1.6 billion into diverse worldwide markets including automotive, marine, industrial, medical and aerospace markets worldwide.
Expressing great enthusiasm about the appointment, Mr. Art Suckewer said "Mr. Boyer's experience in leadership, management and sales will be a significant asset to Knite at this stage of the company's growth." In addition he emphasized that the revolutionary Kinetic Spark Ignition system has demonstrated the potential to significantly improve engine performance, enhance fuel economy, and reduce emissions.
Mr. Boyer said, "I am excited about the potential for Knite's proprietary ignition technology across a broad spectrum of internal combustion engine designs. I am personally impressed with the growth prospects for Knite's technology and the positive reception Knite has received from a variety of high volume engine manufacturers".
Mr. Boyer, who is personally investing in the company, said he believes that the revolutionary KSI ignition system will be a key element to enabling engine manufacturers to meet increasingly stringent emission standards while at the same time improving fuel economy. "It is clear to me that the prospects for higher energy prices will encourage engine manufacturers worldwide to carefully evaluate unique technologies such as the Knite ignition system as a significant upgrade to their conventional ignition systems."
Knite Inc. was established in 1996 by Mr. Art Suckewer, Founder and Chief Technical Officer, with the goal of commercializing the proprietary Kinetic Spark Ignition (KSI) system invented at Princeton University.
Knite Inc. could best be described as a "high-tech" environmental start-up, funded by a small group of dedicated investors, who all share a strong commitment to seeing the KSI ignition system used as a solution to increased engine performance and reduced engine emissions.
