UAW, DaimlerChrysler Corporation to Release Findings Of Delaware Health Care StudyWILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 7 The Delaware Community Health Initiative, a joint project of the UAW and DaimlerChrysler Corporation, will sponsor a community meeting on Friday, December 8 to release the Delaware Factbook, a comprehensive analysis of the health status and needs of Delaware citizens, along with a review of the state's current health care resources. The meeting will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., on the Stanton Campus of the Delaware Technical and Community College. Representatives of the health care industry, labor unions, employers, public officials, and others are invited to attend. The event will be open to the news media. The Delaware Community Health Initiative was founded by the UAW and DaimlerChrysler in 1998. The goals of the initiative include providing high quality health care, promotion of healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and reduction of health care costs though the efficient and appropriate delivery of services.
