Convenience of Airport Check-in at Rental Car Facility Offered First in Las Vegas; New Service Developed, Provided by Certified Airline Passenger Services
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 7 Travelers can check in for their flight
at the same time they drop off their rental car in a new service offered by
Certified Airline Passenger Services (CAPS) and initiated first at the Alamo
Rent a Car counter at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
When customers drop off their car at the Alamo counter, they can check
their bags, obtain a seat assignment and a boarding pass, according to CAPS
Chairman Jerome Snyder, who said Alamo is the first car rental company to
offer such a service ($6 per person fee, children under 12 free). See
http://caps.vegas.com.
"CAPS is a service that not only accommodates the traveler but also the
hotels, car rental companies and airlines as well," Snyder says. "It is about
making travel easier and it gives control of ones valuable time back to the
person it rightfully belongs to: the traveler."
Customers can check-in from one to 12 hours prior to their flight. Upon
arrival at the airport terminal, they can go directly to the gate of their
departing flight, having avoided delays and waiting in long lines.

Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, CAPS is the country's first off-site airport
baggage check-in and passenger ticketing service. CAPS is certified by the
Federal Aviation Administration and uses the same computer check-in system as
the airlines to ensure an equal level of expertise and security. CAPS' group
travel and charter airlines division, American Baggage Company (ABC), has
transported more than 15 million pieces of baggage since its inception in
1972.
In 1999, CAPS expanded its services to include scheduled airlines and
individual travelers. CAPS currently operates at 11 locations in Las Vegas.
Its services are offered by nine domestic and international airlines. For
more information, please refer to the CAPS Web site at http://www.caps.vegas.com.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Alamo Rent A Car, a division of
ANC Rental Corporation , currently serves more than 15 million
travelers a year through 109 locations in North America and operates more than
400 international locations in Europe and Latin America. Alamo can be reached
