    CANTON, Ohio, Dec. 6 The Timken Corporation has named
Gruber, Salsitz, Wirth and Bloom (GSWB Marketing) of Los Angeles, California,
automotive aftermarket sales agency of the year for 2000. The sales agency has
represented the complete line of Timken automotive products to customers in
Arizona, California and Nevada for two years.

    "As a result of their aggressive sales strategy, GSWB Marketing has
exceeded their 2000 goals for Timken," says Lonnie N. Mayne, national sales
manager -- automotive aftermarket, The Timken Corporation. "GSWB Marketing has
increased existing business and signed new accounts, bringing Timken and its
full-line of automotive aftermarket products to the forefront on the West
Coast," adds Mr. Mayne. To recognize their achievement, Timken selected GSWB
Marketing as agency of the year from among the 10 automotive aftermarket sales
representative agencies working with the company.
