    LONDON, Dec. 6 http://www.just-auto.com -- In the interest
of the wholesale fuel market, fuel prices in the EU may be driven down.

says that the national competition authorities and the European Commission
have agreed that Brussels investigators should look into the weak position of
independent suppliers with the view to reduce fuel prices.
    They recognise that in countries where the independents operate alongside
the giants, there is a lot of competition, making it difficult for the
independent suppliers to enter the market.
