Productivity Technologies Corporation Obtains U.K. and Thailand Orders
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 6 Productivity Technologies
Corporation announced on December 5 that its operating
subsidiary Atlas Technologies, Inc. has been awarded three contracts
collectively worth approximately $5 million in revenues. Two of the projects
will consist of die changing equipment to be installed in the United Kingdom
for major automotive companies, while the third will consist of transfer press
automation equipment to be installed in Thailand for a large global automotive
supplier.
"We continue to see interest in our quick die changing systems, which can
significantly improve the productivity by nearly eliminating downtime
associated with changing tools in stamping presses, thereby enabling flexible
production and reduced work-in-progress and inventory costs. Our FLEX series
of transfer press automation is popular with both automotive and appliance
manufacturers, and combined with our FLEX transfer press finger tooling,
offers customers a single source for transfer press automation products,"
according to Michael D. Austin, Atlas President.
