Chrome Adds Medium-Duty Truck Data to PC Carbook; Major Upgrade to Industry's Most Accurate Vehicle Pricing Tool Delivers on Dealers Requests
PORTLAND, Ore.--Dec. 5, 2000--Chrome Data Corporation, the most accurate, independent business-to-business provider of automotive data, configuration technology and software, announced today a major upgrade of its best-selling desktop vehicle research, configuration and pricing tool, PC Carbook(TM).Used by nearly half of all North American automotive dealers, PC Carbook adds new specification data for medium-duty trucks and new functionality to its database of 41 different makes of cars and trucks. This release, the direct result of dealer and manufacturer feedback, is the latest in a series of upgrades to Chrome's leading configuration technology platform.
With this upgrade, PC Carbook clients will be able to view and calculate pricing and technical specification information for medium-duty trucks in real-time. This upgrade also helps fleet managers create bids for government contracts by supporting bid assistance price adjustments.
"More and more dealers are realizing the power of accurate information. It makes the job of selling and financing cars easier, whether you're online, in the fleet or finance and insurance offices or with customers on the showroom floor," said Chrome CEO, Bob Navarre. "Chrome prides itself in providing the most accurate, independent configuration technology platform available, both online and on the desktop."
At dealer request, the new user interface has been enhanced to display special equipment options such as special-purpose wiring and specialized paint schemes. The upgrade also provides additional flexibility with measurements displayed in English or metric systems.
Current clients will automatically receive the upgrade in early December, at no additional charge.
