Elite Logistics Inc. Expands Distribution Network Into Latin America
FREEPORT, Texas--Dec. 4, 2000--Elite Logistics Inc. (OTCBB:ELOG) today announced that it has established new distribution channels that will expand the distribution for its PageTrack(TM) line of Intelligent Vehicle Systems (IVS) to include Latin America and the Caribbean Region.
"This is an important milestone in our business growth," said Joe Smith, chief executive officer of Elite Logistics Inc. "Our technology addresses the requirements of customers throughout Latin America who need a cost-effective solution for fleet management and vehicle security applications. We began exploring the opportunities available in Latin America due to the overwhelming number of inquiries we received from companies doing business there. Over the past six months we have negotiated distribution agreements and have concluded extensive and successful testing in Central and South America. In September we introduced the PageTrack(TM) family of products in Mexico City and couldn't be happier with the response we received from the general public, potential dealers and fleet industry. Within the next 12 months we expect to expand PageTrack(TM) distribution to include key population centers throughout the region. In addition to providing hardware, we plan to support our business associates in Latin America by providing ASP services to support their client's operations from our network operations center in Freeport Texas."
About PageTrack(TM)
Wireless automotive tracking systems have been available for several years. However, they have been prohibitively expensive and the predominant domain of luxury vehicles and large long haul fleets. Elite Logistic's patent-pending PageTrack(TM) system provides a low cost alternative that will broadly expand the potential markets for IVS products. The PageTrack(TM) family of products has been designed to address the critical needs for improving productivity, reducing costs, increasing security and improving asset management for mobile assets. PageTrack(TM) monitors, tracks (including via the Internet), analyzes and controls the movement of virtually any object, including ground vehicles, railway equipment and valuable objects in transit.
PageTrack(TM) provides a cost-effective end-to-end asset locating, command and control system by integrating a GPS receiver and Motorola's CreataLink(TM) 2XT transceiver utilizing ReFlex(TM) two-way wireless telemetry technology over a paging network. The integration of a GPS and two way communications make it possible for PageTrack(TM) owners to log onto the Elite Logistics' Web site and view the mapped position of their mobile asset or obtain detailed information such as speed, direction of travel, longitude, latitude and street location.
In addition to communicating via a secure Internet link, PageTrack(TM) owners can remotely control functions or monitor the status of assets via a two-way pager, an Internet-enabled cellular phone or PDA, or by calling Elite Logistic's 24-hour Customer Support Control Center.
