GKN Automotive Wins Quest for Excellence Award

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 4 GKN Automotive Inc. has
received Automotive Industries magazine's "Quest for Excellence" Award as one
of the auto industry's top suppliers.
    The award is based on a survey of automotive manufacturers, which ranks
suppliers on customer service and responsiveness.  GKN was honored in the
Chassis/Suspension Systems category.
    "It is an honor to be recognized for our continuing efforts to exceed
customer expectations," said Tom Stone, CEO of GKN Automotive.  "This is a
manifestation of the partnership philosophy which characterizes our business
practices in every area, from research and development to product delivery."
    GKN's Automotive Driveline Division (ADD) is a world leader in the design
and manufacture of driveline systems with 37 per cent of the global market for
constant velocity jointed driveshafts.  ADD employs 19,000 people and operates
through 34 manufacturing facilities in Europe, North America, South America
and Asia.
