GKN Warranty Reduction Program Wins Ford Award
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 4 GKN was recently honored by
Ford Motor Company with a Recognition of Achievement Award for its warranty
reduction program.
    According to Carlos Mazzorin, Ford's group vice president for Global
Purchasing, "this award honors suppliers for their efforts in helping us to
achieve our successful results in 1999."
    The award is given to suppliers who impact customer satisfaction by
leading Ford's key initiatives.  GKN was one of only 27 global suppliers to
receive the award.
    Tom Stone, CEO of GKN Automotive, acknowledged the honor, saying that "GKN
strives to excel in all areas, engineering products for durability and
reliability.  In this way, we truly become partners with our OEM customers,
allowing them to achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction.  We are proud
to receive this award of excellence."
