Kia Reports Best-Ever Annual Sales

   IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 1 With a month remaining in 2000, Kia
Motors America has bested last year's record sales total.  Kia sold
12,643 vehicles in November, a six percent increase from November 1999, while
year-to-date sales of 146,096 units are 16 percent ahead of last year's sales.
In all of calendar year 1999, Kia sold 134,594 vehicles in the United States.
    The Sportage sport-utility vehicle continues to be the sales leader with
4,611 units sold in November.  The Rio accounted for 3,533 units in November
and has sold nearly 14,000 units since its August debut.
