DaimlerChrysler Corporation Reports November U.S. Sales
Overall unit numbers have not changed

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 1 DaimlerChrysler Corporation
reported November U.S. sales of 184,065 vehicles, down 5-percent compared to
November 1999.
Sport Utility Vehicle sales of 62,461 units were up 6-percent, truck sales
of 138,106 units dropped slightly by 2-percent, car sales of 45,959 dipped
15-percent, and minivan sales of 28,902 dropped 16-percent.
"The industry is dealing with a highly competitive, saturated marketplace
today," said Dieter Zetsche, President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Corporation.
"The combination of a softening market and an excess of inventory requires
immediate action."
November Highlights (Compared to November 1999)
* SUV sales up 6-percent to 62,461
* Dodge Dakota record sales up 35-percent at 14,161 units
* Dodge Durango sales of 15,342 were even compared to last year
* Dodge Intrepid up 11-percent on sales of 12,328
* Chrysler Brand record sales up 62-percent to 40,631
* Chrysler Town & Country record sales up 29-percent at 8,820 units
* Chrysler Sebring Sedan sales up 22-percent to 3,081 for this new
nameplate compared to last month
* Chrysler Concorde sales up 2-percent at 4,506
