Hyundai Continues Strong Sales Pace; November Sales Up 27% Over Last Year

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 1 Hyundai Motor America
today announced sales of 17,856 vehicles for the month of November, up
27 percent from one year ago.  On a year-to-date basis, Hyundai sales are now
up 50 percent over 1999 levels.  "Hyundai's sales momentum remains strong.
Sales for the 2000 model year will set a 10-year record for Hyundai," said
Robert Cosmai, Vice President of Sales for Hyundai Motor America.
    "The all-new Elantra had another strong month and our newest addition to
the model line-up, the Santa Fe sport utility, continues to grow with
3,627 sales in November," Cosmai said.  "The XG300 sedan, which was introduced
last month, posted sales of 947 units.  Customer response has been very
positive to this new entry," he added.  Total vehicle sales for CY2000 are
projected to exceed 240,000 units.
    "The Hyundai product line is backed by The Hyundai Advantage, America's
Best Warranty which includes our 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain
warranty," Cosmai added.  "In addition, our dealers continue to be focused on
the franchise and their enthusiasm for the brand is paying off with increased
sales."
