CTS Corporation Awarded Multimillion Dollar Manufacturing Contract With Ranco, North America
Business EditorsELKHART, Ind.--Dec. 1, 2000--CTS Corporation today announced that its Matamoros, Mexico manufacturing facility has been awarded an initial two-year contract for value-added assembly work by Ranco, a leading supplier of HVAC controls. The contract covers the manufacturing of electromechanical timers and subcomponents. Production, which began mid-year, is valued in excess of $2 million for the contract period, with follow-on business potential of several million dollars in renewal options, additional products and added services.
Contract manufacturing is one of the capabilities of CTS Corporation's Matamoros/Brownsville business, which can provide customers with complex, labor intensive assembly. Current products manufactured at the Matamoros facility include automotive sensors, volume controls, timers, conventional and PZT speakers, as well as value-added contract assembly services. CTS Matamoros/Brownsville is regarded as a high quality, low cost manufacturer, is QS-9000/ISO 9001 registered and MRP II Class A Certified.
