The Jeep That Could Save Chrysler? TheCarConnection.com Offers The First Spy Shots of the Upcoming Jeep Liberty
DETROIT, Nov. 29 With other automaker's assaulting its
grip on the sport-utility market, DaimlerChrysler's Jeep division is betting
big on the upcoming introduction of its fourth SUV. It will roll off the
automaker's new assembly plant in Toledo next Summer, but readers of
TheCarConnection.com won't have to wait. TCC's spy photographers have the new
Jeep Liberty "Caught in the Web" with a detailed report and spy shots.
Once seen as a replacement for Jeep's aging Cherokee, the two vehicles
will now share space in the automaker's showrooms, alongside the Wrangler and
Grand Cherokee. Liberty will be the first new product Jeep has added to its
line-up since 1992, when it introduced the Grand Cherokee.
    TheCarConnection.com also has in-depth coverage of DaimlerChrysler's
continuing problems -- including the $9 billion lawsuit that challenges the
very basis of the 1998 merger that created the world's fifth-largest
automaker.
