Advanced Wireless Systems, Inc. Announces AcquisitionSANTA ROSA, Calif., Nov. 28 Advanced Wireless Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AWSS) announced today that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with the RAP Group, Inc. (RAP) to acquire RAP's automotive related business. RAP Group, Inc., dba The Repo Outlet.com is located in Fulton, California and is in the business of automotive sales with a primary emphasis on acquiring and selling repossessed automobiles. During the first three quarters of 2000, RAP posted gross revenues of $5.5 million. It has contracts with a number of regional lending institutions including, among others, Chevron Federal Credit Union, Redwood Credit Union, First Entertainers Credit Union, WFS Financial, Exchange Bank and Cal State Credit Union. RAP also has a contract with Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL), which is comprised of approximately 140 credit unions located in California, Oregon and Nevada. In announcing the planned acquisition, Advanced Wireless Systems, Inc.'s President, Tom Howard, stated: "This is a continuation of our planned goal of diversifying by acquiring profitable businesses to bolster our bottom line and achieve profitability by the first quarter of 2001." Howard further noted "this acquisition is compatible with our recent acquisition of Daybreak Auto Recovery, Inc." Daybreak Auto Recovery, Inc. is the largest automotive repossession business north of the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border. Howard continued, "The two businesses together will enable Advanced Wireless to create a niche market in Northern California by enabling us to both repossess automobiles for national and regional lending institutions and, at the same time, provide a facility to resell and finance those vehicles."
