CarParts.com Sweepstakes Winner Gets His Motor Running!

               The Winner of This Muscle Car Thinks He Has Won
                       The Meanest Machine on the Road

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 24 In a time and age when
"you are what you drive" it is no wonder that many people opt for luxury and
"status" cars.  Who would have thought a sweepstakes to win a '72 Chevy
Chevelle brought in over 300,000 entries?  The winner of this vehicle coined
the "Tarmac Terror" thinks it is a gem of a prize!
    CarParts.com has produced its first on-line "Project Car Giveaway."  To
help display the power of the CarParts automotive parts supply -- and to
strengthen its case for the revival of the muscle car --  the company
sponsored a sweepstakes for a souped-up 1972 Chevy Chevelle, the Tarmac
Terror.  The Terror has a big-block engine with plenty of muscle, virtually
every after-market add-on known to mankind, and a blistering custom paint job
-- ultra-deep-black with tangerine metallic accents -- this car is ready to
rumble.
    Of the 300,000 entries received, volunteer firefighter and crane operator,
Russ Ippolito of Hebron, Indiana, was the lucky winner.  Russ entered to win
at the Route 66 Speedway in Joliet, Illinois while the Tarmac Terror was on a
national tour.  Russ traveled to California for the first time and picked up
his grand prize.  "When I found out that I won, I was jumping around and
screaming so hard that I threw my back out," said Russ, "I just can't believe
I won my dream car."
