SMS Announces Resignation of President & CEO

    AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 21 Scientific Measurement Systems
(OTC Bulletin Board: SCMSE) (SMS) today announced resignation of Howard
Burris, President & CEO)
    SMS announced today that the Company's President & CEO, Howard Burris,
resigned his position.  Mr. Burris also resigned as a Director of the company
indicating that he was leaving to pursue other interests.
    Mr. Burris became President & CEO of the manufacturer of industrial
computed tomography (CT) systems (SMS) in late 1997.
