Federal-Mogul Renews Commitment with Parts Plus
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 21 Federal-Mogul has
announced that it has renewed an agreement with Parts Plus to supply the parts
distributor with Moog(R) chassis parts.  The three-year agreement is estimated
to be worth $60 million.
    "This contract reaffirms our membership's commitment to keeping Moog as
our chassis parts supplier," said Michael Lambert, president of Parts Plus.
"Our members are committed to providing their customers with high quality,
brand name auto parts from leading manufacturers, and our members have been
very satisfied with the performance and quality of Moog chassis parts."
    "We have been partners with Parts Plus since 1978, and we're extremely
pleased to be able to continue to provide their members with Moog products,"
said Bob Egan, Federal-Mogul's vice president, aftermarket sales, Americas.
"With our new Moog M2 Technology, we're able to provide Parts Plus customers
with state-of-the-art chassis technology that offers added strength and
durability."
    Moog is an 81 year-old brand of aftermarket chassis parts produced by
Federal-Mogul Corporation.  Moog has been the replacement parts industry's
premier brand of chassis components, with a growing product line that now
includes ball joints, tie rods, drag links, center links, idler and pitman
arms, control arm shafts and bushings, steering dampers, standard and
variable-rate coil springs and wheel alignment products.  The company recently
launched new M2 Technology, featured in many Moog ball joints, idler arms, tie
rod ends and sway bar links.  Engineered to improve steering response and
increase product strength and durability, Moog M2 Technology consists of a
metal stud with full-ball configuration and an exclusive double bearing with
an all-metal "gusher" design.
