Johnson Controls Awarded Global Preferred Supplier Agreement; Agreement Will Expand Relationship With BP
ATLANTA, Nov. 20 Johnson Controls today
announced completion of a preferred supplier agreement that expands its
current relationship with BP for the delivery of integrated
facility management services. The new agreement is scheduled to run for five
years. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Johnson Controls will add BP locations in Naperville and Warrenville,
Ill., Houston, Texas, and corporate headquarters in London, UK. This
agreement adds 3 million square feet to the portfolio of BP sites supported
by Johnson Controls, bringing the global total of sites serviced for BP to
6.2 million square feet.
Under the alliance, Johnson Controls will improve processes and
standardize service delivery while maintaining tailored support
characteristics for each BP site. Johnson Controls is also committed to
generating facility management savings, increasing management efficiencies and
implementing processes for sharing best practices across the global portfolio.
"Our goal is to provide strategic facilities support to BP so that they
may focus on their core businesses. It has been rewarding to contribute to
the success of BP throughout our seven-year relationship in Europe and we are
pleased to expand the scope of our alliance with BP," said Roy Cloudsdale,
Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development, Integrated
Facility Management.
"This preferred supplier agreement builds on the successful relationship
that has been established over the past few years in Europe, where Johnson
Controls has become one of the leading suppliers of integrated facility
management to BP," said Chris Wood, BP International Relationship Manager for
Facilities Management. "We look forward to this relationship growing,
wherever business value can be demonstrated."
