New Senior Management Team at TracerNET
CHANTILLY, Va.--Nov. 20, 2000--TracerNET Corporation, a leader in integrated wireless location and message solutions for vehicle fleet management, is pleased to announce the addition of Eric M. Oganesoff as president and chief executive officer, Jim Foxworthy as vice president of sales and marketing, and John H. Long as chief financial officer.Mr. Oganesoff brings over 20 years experience in growing entrepreneurial companies. His background in mergers and acquisitions, the successful roll up to an IPO (with eventual sale to a Fortune 500 company), venture investing, and Internet strategy initiatives for both large and small companies, well positions him for leading the overall corporate strategy and growth of TracerNET.
"Eric Oganesoff is a proven entrepreneur with tremendous leadership and management skills and a very broad experience base for TracerNET," said Mike Miller, chairman of TracerNET and the company's outgoing CEO. "Eric brings a unique combination of strategic business skills, technical knowledge, and practical business knowledge that will provide TracerNET with top tier leadership."
Mr. Oganesoff most recently was the Chief of e-Market Strategy for Louisiana Pacific Corporation (LP). Before that, he was chairman and CEO of GreenStone Industries, a company he founded, took public, and then sold to LP.
Immediately before this, Eric was President of Washington Resources Group, a holding company with over 20 operating companies and venture capital investments in both high and low tech industries.
He has a BSEE and an MBA, was a finalist in the Ernst and Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" program in 1997 (Washington, D.C. area) and received an executive appointment to NASA to lead the marketing strategy for the Space Shuttle in the mid 1980s.
Mr. Foxworthy has over 15 years experience in high technology sales and marketing and will be responsible for all of TracerNET's sales and marketing initiatives.
"Jim Foxworthy's experience in the selling and marketing of high technology products brings a tremendous capability to TracerNET. His success in strategic development as well as the launching and managing of numerous software products will be invaluable for the company to achieve its accelerated growth plans," said Miller.
Mr. Foxworthy was most recently director of sales and marketing for the Web Management Division of Sterling Software. Prior to that, he led several product management initiatives at Landmark Systems which included new product rollouts, alliance programs with major software and hardware vendors, and strategic development for a variety of products based on Windows NT, UNIX and mainframe operating systems.
He also held sales and product management positions with Legent, Computer Associates and EDS. Mr. Foxworthy has an MBA from George Mason University.
Mr. Long is a seasoned veteran in equity and finance with extensive experience in new technology. From his earliest days at Fidelity Bank, he worked closely with independent cable television operators to assure their success in what was then a brand new medium.
Since that time, he has been directly involved with the growth of nascent industries both in a hands-on fashion, and as an investment banker. It is these combined skills Mr. Long brings to TracerNET.
"With a 25 year career that has spanned two of the largest banks in the USA, Fidelity and Chase Manhattan, to the senior positions at Communications Equity Associates, to the Executive Vice President of Mid-Atlantic Communications, the third largest private cable operator in the country, John has driven for success," said Miller.
Since graduating from Lehigh University in 1976 with a BS in Accounting and Finance, Mr. Long has been at the forefront of the technology revolution, either directly as a senior manager, or indirectly through investment.
