Mack Trucks, Inc. Selects Internet Commerce Corporation's Network Services

NEW YORK--Nov. 20, 2000--Internet Commerce Corporation ("ICC") , a full-service provider in all aspects of e-commerce trading community development and Internet data exchange, today announced that Mack Trucks has selected ICC's Internet-based business-to-business network to provide supply chain connectivity to its vendor community.
"Mack has a tradition of looking to technology to solve its business issues," said Gregory Onjack, Data Interchange and Electronic Commerce Administrator for Mack. "A key business issue we faced with our previous VAN was that of non-repudiation, where the suppliers say they did not receive the order. With ICC, we can see transmission audit trails, in real-time, right from our browser."
Mr. Onjack concluded, "We looked at several solutions before choosing ICC, but most of them were expensive window-dressing for traditional VAN services. ICC does everything that a traditional VAN does and more, at about 50% less cost and with more features. ICC also provides us with high speed transmissions and a greater security margin."
Dr. Geoffrey Carroll, President and CEO of ICC, stated, "The addition of an automotive industry leader, such as Mack, to our growing customer base validates the success we are experiencing as we continue to penetrate the automotive marketplace. Coupled with our recently announced relationship with HdeXchange, the exclusive e-commerce foundation for the heavy-duty automotive parts aftermarket, we are excited about further expanding into this $56 billion market."
