LoJack Announces the Appointment of Ronald Rossi as CEO He Replaces C. Michael Daley Who Retires at Fiscal Year End
    DEDHAM, Mass., Nov. 17 The Board of Directors of LoJack
Corporation announced today the appointment of Ronald Rossi as chief executive
officer, replacing C. Michael Daley who will retire on February 28, 2001, the
company's fiscal year end. Mr. Daley will be 65 in June 2001.
    Mr. Rossi has worked for the Gillette Company for 35 years, where he
served in a variety of senior level management positions including president
of both Gillette North America and Gillette Canada, as well as Braun Canada.
He recently retired as president of Oral-B Worldwide. Mr. Rossi will join
LoJack on November 20.
    Mr. Daley said, "As Ronald Rossi's career at Gillette indicates, he brings
an exciting breadth of experience in marketing and sales and corporate
leadership to LoJack. We are pleased that he can begin the transition in
assuming the leadership of the company immediately."
    Mr. Daley has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1981. He has
served in his present position as Chief Executive Officer since 1986 and has
been instrumental in making LoJack Corporation one of the most successful
automotive after-market companies in the country. In the October 30, 2000
edition of Forbes Magazine, LoJack Corporation was recognized as one of the
200 best small companies in America.
    Mr. Rossi said, "I look forward to the rewarding challenges of continuing
LoJack's growth. Mike Daley has done an outstanding job in shepherding the
company to its present position as the leading provider of auto security
technology in the U.S. and abroad."
    The Board of Directors also announced that it had voted to increase the
size of the board by one member and had appointed Joseph F. Abely, president
of LoJack, and John H. MacKinnon, formerly a Partner with
PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P., as directors. Mr. Abely has been with LoJack
for 12 years and was appointed president in 1998. Mr. MacKinnon was with
PricewaterhouseCoopers for 25 years, retiring in February 2000.
    In addition, the Board of Directors reported that James A. Daley has
resigned as a director of the corporation because of his appointment as United
States Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean.
