Valeo Appoints Dea-Anne D'Amico Vice-President Human Resources and Administrative Affairs

    PARIS--Nov. 16, 2000--Valeo (Paris: FR; OTCBB: VLEEY) today announced the appointment of Dea-Anne D'Amico as Vice-President Human Resources and Administrative Affairs, and member of the Management Committee.
    She joined the Group on November 13, 2000.
    Dea-Anne D'Amico, 40, a U.S. citizen, has earned degrees in Comparative Culture, Communications and Human Resources from the University of Missouri and the Sorbonne, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Program.
    Following a career as a university professor of European history, she worked as a communications consultant, advising companies opening up to the European market. In 1989, she joined the Walt Disney Company, where she managed human resources and communications projects for Euro Disney and new European subsidiaries.
    She subsequently held various human resources and public relations management positions with ST Microelectronics and AT&T throughout Europe. In 1997, she joined Compaq as Human Resources Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in charge of organizational development. During that period, she managed the biggest hi-tech company merger to date.
