Fisher Appointed General Manager, Corporate Communications For Mercedes-Benz USAMONTVALE, N.J., Nov. 16 Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) announced the appointment of Jeffrey Fisher to general manager, corporate communications at the company's Montvale, N.J. headquarters. Fisher will be responsible for corporate communications strategies and initiatives for the company's U.S. operations, including media, public, product and corporate publicity and events as well as internal communications. Fisher will report to Paul Halata, president and CEO for MBUSA. He will also serve as liaison with the communications teams in the Stuttgart, Germany and Auburn Hills headquarters for DaimlerChrysler. Fisher brings over 13 years of communications experience in the luxury automobile industry. His most recent position was senior manager, public affairs for Mercedes-Benz and DaimlerChrysler in Melbourne, Australia. There, Fisher was responsible for product and business affairs communication. Prior to joining Mercedes-Benz in 1995, Fisher operated an automobile communications consultancy. From 1987-1992, he was a media relations manager for the Jaguar and Rover cars importer in Sydney, Australia. Fisher is a journalism graduate from Harlow College in the United Kingdom. A native of London, England, Fisher will relocate to Saddle River, N.J. with his wife, Carol, and two sons.
