iSalvage and AUTOVIA to Offer Full Automotive Procurement Solution

    NEW YORK & SACRAMENTO, Calif.--Nov. 16, 2000--

Partnership Provides Repair Shops With a Broader Selection of New and Used Parts Available On One Web Site

iSalvage, an Internet-based procurement network for recycled and remanufactured automotive parts, and AUTOVIA(TM), a leader in providing automotive aftermarket e-commerce applications for repair shops and parts distributors, announced today that iSalvage will provide an integrated recycled-part procurement application for AUTOVIA. This procurement application will offer customers a greater selection of new and used parts, easing the process for ordering recycled parts online.
"AUTOVIA's partnership with iSalvage is a unique expansion to AUTOVIA's vast online parts database," said Rod Georgiu, AUTOVIA's founder and CEO. "Repair shops can purchase all the parts they need -- whether they're aftermarket or salvage parts -- at one convenient site."
The iSalvage application will initially be available to AUTOVIA customers by hyperlink, but the eventual integrated application will allow repair shops, collision centers, and dealers that use AUTOVIA to search iSalvage for recycled parts availability and purchase parts directly. The result will be a more efficient method for procuring all items -- new and used -- necessary to effectively run an aftermarket operation, saving time and money in the process.
iSalvage will manage the entire procurement process. This includes searching for parts in its database of millions of recycled auto parts, as well as purchasing and shipping of those parts. The iSalvage database, updated daily, consists of parts from the highest quality recyclers in the salvage industry. The integration, which consists of developing a technology interface between AUTOVIA and iSalvage, is expected to be complete in early 2001.
"We are excited to offer integrated solutions to our customers, with iSalvage serving as the engine for locating and purchasing recycled parts. AUTOVIA is an excellent aftermarket partner with which to pursue this application -- to provide an automated, easy-to-use solution for repair shop procurement management," said Jeff Stotland, CEO of iSalvage. "iSalvage can provide access to recycled parts for AUTOVIA customers nationwide."
