Alamo Introduces Innovative Industry Firsts; Airline Luggage Check, Boarding Pass, and Secure Baggage Sealing Top List of New Services Available Only to Alamo Customers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--Nov. 15, 2000--Alamo Rent A Car, a division of ANC Rental Corporation , is announcing a number of car rental industry firsts -- all designed to make renting a car easier and more convenient for its customers, especially leisure customers. The innovations include products and services designed to help Alamo customers travel safer, save time and stay in touch.

    Helping Customers Travel Safer

-- Baggage Sealing -- For additional luggage security, Alamo
is testing a luggage wrapping service. This service seals
customers' baggage for protection against potential
thieves as well as harsh luggage belts. Recently piloted
at the Miami and Orlando Alamo rental plazas, this product
is especially well received by international travelers.

    Helping Customers Save Time

-- Luggage Checking/Boarding Passes -- This exciting, new service enables customers to check their luggage through to their airline and obtain a boarding pass -- all at the Alamo car rental facility. Beginning this month, Las Vegas will be the first city to offer this convenient service to rental car customers. Los Angeles will follow soon.
-- Stroller Rental -- Originally tested in Orlando, the site of so many exciting theme parks, attractions and shopping opportunities, Alamo's stroller rental service has been expanded to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale. Families can pick up a top-of-the line baby stroller when they rent their car and have full use of it throughout the entire vacation.

    Helping Customers Stay in Touch

-- Two-Way Radios -- The number of exciting theme parks and
other attractions available in Orlando made this city the
ideal location for Alamo to pilot the new Family Radio
Service (FRS). Using state-of-the-art technology, these
super-portable two-way radios allow family members to stay
in touch while they each "do their own thing" at theme
parks, attractions, shopping malls, etc. The test begins
this month and will be expanded to other cities in the
    future.

-- Pre-Paid Cell Phones -- Far more convenient (and often
less expensive) than a calling card, these rechargeable
pre-paid cell phones will help customers stay connected
during their travels. Because the pre-paid cell phones
feature nationwide digital coverage, customers pay an
affordable calling rate, with no roaming charges, no
matter where they travel in the United States. The cell
phones will be available for purchase at Alamo locations
in Los Angeles, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas by
    the end of November.

Alamo has developed a strong reputation for pioneering car rental industry products and services. Most recently, Alamo introduced the car rental "Plaza of the Future" at its facilities in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The environmentally re-designed plazas in these cities feature customer amenities such as play areas for children, changing rooms, interactive Web-based directional kiosks and retail centers.
With its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Alamo Rent A Car currently serves more than 15 million travelers a year through 109 locations in the United States and Canada, and operates more than 400 international locations in Europe and Latin America. Alamo is a division of ANC Rental Corporation and can be reached on the Internet at www.alamo.com.
