BVerticals Appoints Paul Baffico to Its Board of Directors

    CORTE MADERA, Calif.--Nov. 14, 2000--Former Sears Executive Paul Baffico has been named to the board of directors of BVerticals, Inc., a company dedicated to the development and support of leading automotive enthusiast sites on the Web. Mr. Baffico, former President of Sears Automotive, joins an already strong Board that includes Tom Stallkamp, former Vice-Chairman of DaimlerChrysler, and currently CEO and Vice-Chairman of MSX International.
    Paul Baffico is currently Founder of Invisible Intellect Management Services, and a Senior Partner of Swoboda and Associates, a management consulting firm. Mr. Baffico is responsible for the Chicago office of Swoboda and Associates.
    "I was very impressed with the team and the goals of the BVerticals group when we first met, and I am confident that we can achieve an industry-leading position in offering unique enthusiast destinations on the Web," said Baffico.
    Prior to being named President of Sears Automotive, as well as Chairman and CEO of Western Auto, Mr. Baffico held a variety of jobs with leadership and planning responsibilities throughout Sears' Store and Home Office Operations.

    Mr. Baffico received a BA in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco, and completed Executive MBA courses at William and Mary University and Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He also serves on many civic, professional, and corporate boards. Paul and his wife, Mary, reside in Lake Forest, IL.
