Roadway Announces Election of J. R. Boni as Treasurer
AKRON, Ohio--Nov. 9, 2000--The Board of Directors of Roadway Express, Inc. , elected Joseph R. Boni III, 40, to the position of Treasurer effective January 1, 2001. Boni joined Roadway in August 1998 as Director of Taxes. He most recently served as Director of Taxes & International Finance.Prior to joining Roadway, Boni spent the majority of his career at KPMG LLP, a Big 5 international accounting firm, where he was a Senior Manager serving multinational clients in the Northeast Ohio area.
"Joe will assume responsibility over the company's treasury functions along with oversight of corporate taxes and international finance. His experience and broad educational background will be put to good use as he assumes these new responsibilities as a member of the company's executive management team," stated J. Dawson Cunningham, Executive Vice President and CFO of Roadway Express.
A Certified Public Accountant, Boni holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and a Master of Accountancy degree, both from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from John Carroll University.
Boni, his wife Jackie, and their two daughters reside in Willoughby, Ohio.
