Powerway Builds Strategic Team in Detroit

    INDIANAPOLIS--Nov. 9, 2000--Ronald V. Reed, Gregg Johnson, William E. Bromley and James E. Blough recently joined Powerway, Inc. in the Detroit area. Jerry Abbott, vice president of consulting services, heads up the strategic team.
    Powerway, a pioneer in advanced collaborative e-business solutions for optimizing quality and engineering performance throughout the supply chain, last month announced the opening of the Detroit area office to be closer to its global automotive industry customers.
    Reed, named director of consulting, comes to Powerway from Ameritech Michigan where he was vice president of external relations. Prior to that, he spent 18 years with IBM as a consulting practice leader and manager for the automotive industry and other manufacturing clients. He also spent several years as a General Motors test engineer and as a test engineer for Proctor and Gamble. Actively involved in the Detroit community, Reed serves on the boards of many civic, charitable and professional organizations including the Detroit City Airport Commission, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Public Television and Marygrove College.
    Johnson, named global customer director, comes to Powerway from Micro Processor Systems, Inc. where he was senior vice president of sales, marketing and strategic planning. Prior to that, he spent eight years with Delphi Energy and Engine Management Systems in positions including global customer sales manager for GM Powertrain, manager of business and strategic planning and program manager, electronic throttle control. Johnson began his career with General Motors as an electrical/computer engineer and spent 10 years with assignments in advanced engineering, the vehicle group and GM Powertrain.
    Bromley, named a consultant, comes to Powerway from Eviciti, an Internet integration firm, where he was project manager. Prior to that, he was manager of electronic business services and manager of business development for Micro Processor Systems, Inc. Bromley also has served as director of sales and marketing for Technical Liaison Corporation where he focused on automotive accounts, and as technical business director of Productivity Point International.
    Blough, named senior sales account manager, comes to Powerway from Elco Textron where he was group sales manager for Ford/Visteon sales and corporate sales manager for Forward Lighting Product. He also served as engineering manager and information services manager with the company. Prior to that, he was a sales representative for eight years with Camcar Textron, where he serviced OEM accounts in the automotive industry including Ford and Chrysler.
    Abbott said that additional appointments to Powerway's consulting, training, marketing and sales team in Detroit will be made in the coming weeks.
