Magic Software Enterprises Signs Deal With Athlon Groep to License Its RentPro Car Rental Management System; Deal Estimated At More Than $1 Million
IRVINE, Calif.--Nov. 9, 2000--Magic Software Enterprises Thursday announced that it has signed a contract estimated to exceed $1 million with the Athlon Groep (Athlon), which operates auto leasing and rental agencies, car dealerships and body shops in several countries in Europe.Under the terms of the contract, Athlon will license Magic's RentPro(TM) car rental management system. Already implemented at AXXI Car Rental in Holland and in the process of being implemented at Autop Rent in France, Athlon will use RentPro to standardize its car rental activities throughout the Netherlands and abroad.
RentPro
RentPro is Magic's full-service e-business and client/server solution for car and truck rental companies developed by its 75%-owned subsidiary, Magic Rental Technologies Inc. (MRTI). An enterprise solution, RentPro contains more than 2,000 programs, including more than 90% of all of the functions handled by car and truck rental companies with multiple facilities worldwide.
Some of the functions handled include purchase and sale of vehicles, reservations management, leasing and rental arrangements, and fleet control and management. In addition, RentPro has the ability to interface with virtually any accounting system.

RentPro also is multilingual, enabling the operator to communicate in his or her own language on the screen and in reports, while rental agreements and invoices are generated in the language of the customer. All translation is transparent to the customer, as well as to the user. In addition, because RentPro was built using Magic, it can operate on multiple platforms and integrate with most commercial databases.
