A New Search to Uncover Genes Linked with Human Diseases
Two companies are joining forces to find the sets of genes associated with common human diseases. Rosetta Inpharmatics and Gemini Gemomics will focus their initial research on RNA, the translator of the DNA code, to identify the connections between the most active genes and the risk or presence of diseases. Tens of thousands of genes will be screened during the collaboration.
