Simula, Inc. Will Move to Amex; Ticker Symbol to Remain Unchanged

PHOENIX--Nov. 6, 2000--Simula, Inc. today announced that as of the market opening on November 13, 2000 the Company's common stock and public debt will begin trading on the American Stock Exchange (Amex). The ticker symbol, "SMU," will remain unchanged.
"Given the Company's size, and the fact that we could not soon expect to meet the shareholders' equity requirement of the New York Stock Exchange, we have for some time been working to ensure that upon leaving the NYSE the Company would not find its shares relegated to the OTC Bulletin Board," said Brad Forst, president and CEO of Simula.
"In addition to ensuring that shareholders retain the liquidity of a national exchange, the Amex listing removes an element of uncertainty that may well have discouraged new investors and sell-side analysts from taking a serious look at Simula. With the move, we will be in a much better position to elicit new interest in the Company," concluded Forst.
