This is Visteon's first European telematics event since the corporation announced its new Telematics/Multimedia Business System in August. "The ITS World Congress will allow Visteon to participate in a very important exhibition to the future of our business in Europe, and around the world," said Doug Sendelbach, Strategic Business Unit Director for Visteon's Telematics/Multimedia Business System in Europe and South America. "Visteon is dedicated to understanding the needs of consumers. At the same time, it is crucial that we be working very closely with governments around the world and develop products to meet those needs." Visteon has developed technologies that help keep vehicle occupants conveniently connected to the world around them while on the road. These technologies are fully adaptable to accommodate a variety of consumer lifestyles. Among those products are: * ICES (Information, Communication, Entertainment, Safety and Security) -- Visteon's in-car computing system that provides an interactive link between home, office, and vehicle. ICES enables vehicle occupants to access the Internet to check email, obtain real-time information such as news, weather reports and stock quotes. * Visteon's NavMate(R) Navigation System helps vehicle occupants get where they want to go with the convenience of turn-by-turn navigation assistance. ICES and NavMate can be conveniently activated when used with Visteon Voice Technology(TM), which allows the driver to keep his or her hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. * Visteon's Multimedia products provide fully integrated in-vehicle mobile entertainment systems designed to keep passengers entertained during long journeys with the use of products like the DVD Video System and MACH(R) MP3 Audio System. * Visteon also has created complete telematics solutions with the development of the Multi-functional Telematics Unit, capable of functions from Navigation to Electronic Road Pricing features.
