Info4cars Recruiting Top U.S. Dealers

ARDEN, N.C.--Nov. 6, 2000--Info4cars, a leading auto buying service for companies such as SAM'S Club, Farmers Insurance, Zurich Insurance, Consumer Guide, among others, announced it is launching a national campaign to recruit top dealers for its exclusive dealership network.
With the recent selection of info4cars as the SAM'S Club official auto-buying service, more quality dealerships are needed to serve info4cars' growing customer base of over 60 million. Unlike many of the internet auto-buying services, info4cars provides a unique buying model. With a call center focused on customer service, info4cars qualifies and screens each and every call, ensuring their dealer network that the customers they send are ready to purchase an automobile.
"We weed out the price shoppers, narrowing the field to just those who know what they want and are ready to buy it", said Bob Kelly, Vice President of Call Center Marketing. He went on to describe how the info4cars model increases the dealer's profitability by sending a majority of used car leads. "Over 60% of our customers are shopping for a used vehicle, which is typically more profitable than a new car sale. When we add our ConsumerGuide Vehicle History Report to each used vehicle, we bring a certain trust value that will help ease the customer's concern and certainly help to sell the vehicle."
With the ability to pre-qualify customers, info4cars boasts a high closing rate to their dealers. "When the customer is ready to buy, knows what they want, and has a realistic expectation of what the market price is, there is little room for failure," says Charlie Van Wickel, Executive Vice President of Dealer Sales and Marketing. "We have a tremendous amount of confidence in our dealers. We know if we send them qualified buyers, they're going to sell cars."
However, info4cars' dealers must meet strict criteria. High CSI ratings, preferred pricing on new vehicles and used vehicles, and a wide selection of quality used vehicles are some of the requirements necessary for potential dealerships. "We have to be selective when choosing a dealership. We are only as good as our dealers," said Kelly.
"We've had a tremendous response. Finding the right dealers takes a little time. But they love what we can provide them. They can enjoy a simple process, which helps both dealer and customer reach their respective goals. It's a win-win situation for all involved," said Bob Kelly.
