Roznowski Joins Automotive Manufacturing & Production Magazine as Director of Marketing
    PLYMOUTH, Mich., Nov. 6 David J. Roznowski has joined
Automotive Manufacturing & Production magazine as director of marketing and
promotion.  The announcement was made by Rick Kline, Jr., publisher of the
magazine.  Roznowski is filling a new position with responsibilities for
marketing the magazine, its editors and services to the automotive original
equipment and supplier industries.
    Roznowski, 30, is a 10-year veteran of the automotive supplier industry.
He joins Automotive Manufacturing & Production from Johnson Controls, Inc.
where he had been manager of public relations for the Plymouth, Mich.-based
Automotive Systems Group.  While at Johnson Controls, he was responsible for
media relations with local, national and international media; issues
management; crisis communications; integrated marketing communications;
community relations, industry relations and public affairs.
    "Dave is a great addition to the magazine staff," Kline said.  "He brings
first-hand knowledge and experience of the automotive supplier industry and
the capability to deliver the value our advertisers, partners and readers
expect."
    Before joining Johnson Controls in May 1998, Roznowski had worked at Troy,
Mich.-based Bianchi Public Relations from July 1995 through May 1998.  He also
worked at Troy, Mich.-based Eisbrenner Public Relations from May 1992 through
April 1994.  While working at the two agencies, he handled the strategic and
day-to-day public relations activities for a variety of automotive clients
including the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG); TRW Inc.; IBM Corp.;
the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE); MSX International; General Motors
Electric Vehicles; DuPont Automotive; The United States Advanced Battery
Consortium (USABC); Solvay Automotive; Robert Bosch Corp.; and Modern
Engineering.
    From April 1994 through July 1995, Roznowski was the public relations
director for CDI Information Services.  While at CDI, he established the
marketing communications department and handled all public relations functions
and numerous marketing activities relating to the organization.
    Beginning his career with General Motors' Inland Fisher Guide Division
(now Delphi Automotive Systems) in the Communications and Public Affairs
Department, Roznowski worked primarily with employee communications, writing
for the daily newsline.
    He earned a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and speech
communication with an emphasis in journalism from Wayne State University
(Detroit, Mich.), where he graduated as a member of the Golden Key National
Honor Society.
    Roznowski is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of
America (PRSA).  He also is a member of the Automotive Press Association
(APA); Adcraft Club of Detroit; Economic Club of Detroit; and the National
Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
