Collins & Aikman Receives KIA Most Valued Partner Award

    TROY, Mich.--Nov. 6, 2000--Collins & Aikman Corporation today announced that it is a recipient of the KIA Most Valued Partner Award for the year 2000. The award was presented to Collins & Aikman North American Automotive Interior Systems Division's Accessory Mat Operations during KIA's yearly Supplier Award Ceremony held in Las Vegas, NV. This is the second consecutive year that Collins & Aikman has received KIA's Most Valued Partner Award.
    Collins & Aikman received KIA's Most Valued Partner status for its contributions to product quality, delivery, packaging and shipping, marketing support and communications. "We are extremely proud of the outstanding efforts of our Holmesville (Ohio) manufacturing facility, and the KIA product launch team," said Steve Sehmer, Product Manager, Accessory Mat Operations. "This award is a reflection of their hard work and dedication to exceptional customer service and delivery."
    Collins & Aikman Accessory Mat Operations has been a valuable contributor in helping KIA achieve record vehicle, parts and accessory sales levels. The KIA Valued Partner System is a cooperative effort between KIA Motors America, Inc. and their supplier partners to continuously improve on accessory quality and delivery.
