    REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--Nov. 3, 2000--

President of High Ridge Capital Brings Nearly Two Decades of Insurance Industry-Based Investment Banking Experience to Ensera's Board

    Ensera Inc. (www.ensera.com), a leader in web-enabling technology for automating the automotive collision repair claims process, elected James L. Zech, President of High Ridge Capital, to its Board of Directors.

    Since 1995, Zech has served as President of High Ridge Capital, a private equity firm with $150 million under management that focuses on middle market transactions in the insurance industry.
    Previously, Zech was an investment banker covering the insurance industry, including working as a member of the Insurance Group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation. In 1992, Zech joined S.G. Warburg & Co. Inc., which is part of Warburg's Worldwide Financial Institutions. While at Warburg, he worked on many U.S. insurance assignments as well as cross-border transactions.

    From 1984 to 1988, Zech was with American Independent Reinsurance Company where he held the positions of Corporate Secretary and Counsel and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From 1982 through 1984, Zech was a corporate attorney with the New York law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Zech holds a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law and a B.S. degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
