Infiniti Division Up 15 Percent Over Last Year; October Sales Decline

    CARSON, Calif., Nov. 1 Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA), today posted sales of 5,422 vehicles in
October, a 23.4 percent decrease from October last year.  Sales during the
first 10 months of 2000 were up 15.4 percent compared with the same period in
1999.
    Infiniti sales for the month were down 24 percent compared with October
last year.  Combined sales of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles totaled 56,427 in
October this year and year-to-date sales amounted to 643,919 compared with
565,873 during the January-October period in 1999.
    The Infiniti I30 sedan, currently enjoying a record year, had sales
totaling 34,733 units so far this year.  For the month, I30 sales fell
25 percent to 2,876.

    Other sales highlights include:
    -- QX4 October sales of 1,570 units
    -- G20 sales of 801 units
    -- Q45 sales of 195 units
