6th Annual Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep(R) Design Awards Presented at SEMALAS VEGAS, Nov. 1 Today, DaimlerChrysler Corporation announced the winners of the industry-recognized Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep(R) Design Awards, at the 2000 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. The 6th annual Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Design Awards were presented to companies that express outstanding innovation, superior design and advanced process application management in developing concepts and parts for DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler, Dodge, Dodge Truck and Jeep vehicles. "We presented eight awards in two categories," said Dennis Myles, Senior Design Manager at DaimlerChrysler's Dodge Truck Studio. The first category, the Design Excellence Awards, recognize aftermarket manufacturers that develop total vehicle image packages. The second category, the Application Excellence Awards, acknowledge aftermarket parts." This year's entries were evaluated based on design achievement, overall quality, market significance, technical execution, craftsmanship and conceptual relevance by the DaimlerChrysler Image Team consisting of cross- functional teams, representing Engineering, Design, Product Planning and Marketing, managed by Myles.
