Delta's Dickinson Educates CINCPACFLT on Force Protection; Speaks at U.S. Navy Conference in Hawaii
VALENCIA, Calif.--Nov. 1, 2000--At the Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CINCPACFLT) Annual Force Protection Conference held October 30-31 in Honolulu, Delta Scientific President Harry Dickinson was invited to "represent the state-of the-art in vehicle and perimeter control systems as an educational opportunity for our participants" by Captain C.B. Divis, U.S. Navy Head, Force Protection Programs. Dickinson's topic was "Selecting Vehicle Barricades for Force Protection of U.S. Naval Facilities.""With the recent attack on the USS Cole, this conference was more timely than ever," emphasized Dickinson. "For some time, we've been actively supplying vehicle barricade systems to secure U.S. Naval facilities throughout the world. Within hours after the Port of Aden attack, we were airlifting equipment to Yemen for deployment there and neighboring terrorist targets. We're hopeful that our CINCPACFLT Session helps the Navy to deter terrorists and save lives."
The CINCPACFLT Force Protection Conference has become the largest Navy venue for security and protection professionals to gather and discuss varied issues involving anti-terrorism and force protection programs. Approximately 125 security professionals participate from throughout the Pacific Rim, East Coast and Europe.
