Edmunds.com Town Hall Wins Women's Automotive Communications AwardSANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 1 Edmunds.com (http://www.edmunds.com), the web's leading consumer resource for unbiased automotive information, today was awarded the Women's Automotive Communications Award for the "Our Turn" section of Edmunds' Town Hall. The Car Care Council's Women's Board presented this award to Edmunds.com in recognition of the company's achievements promoting useful automotive information to women via the Internet. The "Our Turn" conference provides a female perspective on automotive products and issues, empowering women to make educated decisions and achieve a comfort level with important but often unfamiliar subjects. Topics ranging from "Electrical Wiring" to "Comfortable Cars" can be found at this site designed "for women only." "The 'Our Turn' conference is meant to be a safe, judgment-free area within our Town Hall discussion community where we women are not afraid to ask our questions, gather our research, and collect opinions from others who share common experiences and situations," according to Town Hall's Message Boards Manager, Bonnie Rick. The Women's Automotive Communications Award is presented annually to companies who promote automotive information to women via outstanding advertising and marketing techniques. The award program also helps educate those companies not yet targeting women as viable customers. This year, the awards are being distributed in Las Vegas in connection with the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) conference.
