Celadon's TruckersB2B, Inc to Provide Internet Banking Services Through First Internet Bank of Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS--Nov. 1, 2000--Celadon Group's TruckersB2B, Inc., reached agreement with First Internet Bank of Indiana (First IB) to provide an extensive array of Internet banking services. This agreement will provide access to business accounts for TruckersB2B member fleets and personal accounts for their drivers and administrative staff. TruckersB2B will also offer additional incentives for its members.
Some of the features and services offered by First IB to TruckersB2B members include: 24/7 access to accounts via the Internet and touch-tone telephone; interest checking with no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements; online bill payment; wire transfers of money to other accounts; check cards with ATM privileges at over 350,000 ATMs worldwide; savings and CD Accounts; and direct deposit.
"We are elated to have TruckersB2B bring First Internet Bank of Indiana into our network." said Bob Helms, President and CEO of TruckersB2B, Inc. "The very nature of Internet banking fits well with the flexibility needed by fleets and truck drivers across the nation."
"Because First Internet Bank doesn't have costly branches to support and the overhead that goes with them, they can typically offer higher interest rates on checking account deposits than traditional banks. They also offer a full complement of technologically sophisticated banking products including real-time transaction processing for ATM functions, money transfers and online bill payment. That is the kind of flexibility and solid service needed by fleets and drivers," Mr. Helms said.
David Becker, Chairman and CEO of First Internet Bank, noted, "This marks a tremendous opportunity for First IB. When we talk about the convenience of anywhere, anytime banking, there simply is no better audience than the member fleets, drivers and staffs affiliated with TruckersB2B. Our relationship with TruckersB2B promises to be beneficial for everyone involved."
"Historically, First IB has received praise for being a leader among financial institutions in terms of the products and services we offer online," Becker continued. "We are excited to have the chance to broaden our customer base and to work with TruckersB2B to develop services that will enhance their members' banking experience."
