Prior to joining Autoweb, Cottrell was North American marketing manager for a division of Reynolds and Reynolds, HAC Group LLC. During his eight years at HAC, Cottrell also served as a facilitator at the HAC college facility, where he facilitated a team that developed and delivered the "Coaching 2000" program curriculum for dealer principals, general managers and sales managers. He has also acted as a consultant in an advisory capacity for General Motors Corporation and Ford Motor Company's New Media Group on various e-business initiatives and projects. Cottrell's background also includes 14 years in automotive Dealership retail sales management, including positions as team leader for Saturn of Modesto and general sales manager for a large volume Ford dealership in California's Central Valley. "Steve's entire career has been focused on providing the thinking, tools and processes that are needed to transform automotive retailing and drive e-business leadership," said Sam Hedgpeth, president and CEO of Autoweb.
