iMotors Announces Hiring of General Manager; Company continues to line up top tier senior management team

    SAN FRANCISCO--Oct. 30, 2000--iMotors, the first online direct seller of certified used cars, announced today that Jonathan Landers has been named General Manager. Landers will serve as a cross-functional General Manager for iMotors' key product line, iMotors Express.
    Landers brings a wealth of general management retail experience in retail management, marketing and sales from both online and traditional consumer businesses. Before joining iMotors, Landers was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at HomeGrocer.com. Prior to joining HomeGrocer.com, Mr. Landers held senior management positions at Norm Thompson Outfitters, Inc., a consumer specialty retailer of high quality merchandise, and the National Geographic Society.
    In addition, Landers was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Neuhaus (U.S.A.), a Belgian chocolate retailer. He has also held positions within Sara Lee subsidiaries including Hanes, a manufacturer of cotton goods, and Coach Leatherware, a specialty retailer of leather goods. Landers holds a B.A. in Government from Bowdoin College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
