Visteon Granted Preliminary Injunction Against Lernout & Hauspie
DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 27 Visteon Corporation
has been granted a preliminary injunction by the Suffolk County Superior Court
in Massachusetts against Lernout & Hauspie (L&H). The injunction prohibits
L&H from taking any action with any company other than Visteon to develop,
market, license or sell voice solutions for automotive applications for OEMs
or the aftermarket.
Visteon filed an action to enforce its joint venture with L&H on Oct. 13
in Suffolk County Superior Court in Massachusetts. On May 25, 2000, Visteon
and L&H entered into a joint venture where the parties agreed to exclusively
work together to combine Visteon's expertise in automotive speech design and
integration and L&H's full range of speech technologies to develop automotive
applications.
