SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Oct. 26, 2000--Following its impressive debut at last month's Autotech 2000, three premier E-Business Providers to the automotive industry, will be introducing ANX(R)EDI One(TM) to Detroit-area automotive suppliers during November and early December, 2000.
ANX(R)EDI One(TM) is the first flat-rate, no transaction fee EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system. It's designed to add value, security and reliability to EDI communications for the automotive supply chain community as well as a wide range of other vertical industries.
In particular, ANX(R)EDI One(TM) is expected to have significant value to OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry. The technology is an ideal replacement for the outgoing Ford Motor Company legacy EDI system known as Supplier On-Line Management Information System (SOLMIS). Earlier this year, Ford announced plans to discontinue support for SOLMIS by the end of 2000.
ANX(R)EDI One(TM) provides significant cost savings and reduced overhead for organizations that may be spending thousands of dollars per month for large EDI volumes on expensive Value Added Networks (VANs). As an example, a Southeastern Michigan dial-up ANX(R)EDI One(TM) subscriber receives three IPSec tunnels and 20 hours of unlimited transactions for a monthly fee of $295, roughly half the cost of other aggregate EDI solutions. In addition to these standard cost savings, SOLMIS suppliers migrating to ANX(R)EDI One(TM) before January 1, 2001 will have the up-front connection fee waived.
