Unique Mobility's Franklin Manufacturing Unit Receives Additional $3.1 Million Order for Handheld ComputersGOLDEN, Colo. Oct. 26 Unique Mobility, Inc. (Amex: UQM), a developer of alternative energy technologies, announced today that its Franklin Manufacturing unit has received an additional order of $3.1 million for the production of handheld computers. Deliveries under the order will run through May, 2001. This order brings the total value of production orders for handheld computers this year to $6.6 million. Franklin Manufacturing produces the printed circuit board assemblies for the handheld computer and also performs value-added assembly of the final product, packaging for retail display, and direct shipment to distributors, computer retailers, and customers.
